Complaint:

After replacement of the transmission control unit, a code entry is current and stored in the ABR or ESP control unit.

As a result of this code entry the Distronic, Hold, Hill-Start Assist, cruise control and variable speed limiter functions cannot be activated.

Note:

The code entry 6205 is current and stored in the ABR or ESP control unit. The code entry cannot be erased.

Cause:

CAN data communication from transmission control unit to ABR or ESP control unit implausible. 

This causes the ABR control unit (ABR ECU) to detect a faulty message and a code entry is made in the ABR ECU.

Remedy:

Flash transmission control unit with DAS DVD 01/10 and add-on 1375.
