Model 216.371/376, Equipped with SA code 807 (modification year 2007)

Model 221.171/176/179, Equipped with SA code 806 (modification year 2006)

Outside Mirror Adjustment and/or Convenience Closing is Nonfunctional After 

Replacement of the Door Control Unit

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with either of the below symptoms, this may be due to incompatible software in the new door
control unit.

Outside mirror adjustment and convenience closing nonfunctional after replacement of the left front door control unit.

-

Convenience closing is nonfunctional after replacement of the right front door control unit.

To resolve, update software in new door control module via SDS menu path: Control units -> Seats and Doors -> Door control module front left (right)
-> Control unit adaptations -> Control module programming

Software is available as of SDS version 10/08 with patch 1027.
