Up to VIN A 070693 with SA code 540 (Electric Sunshade for Rear Window)

Electric Sunshade for Rear Window Stops or Hesitates During Operation

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of all of the below symptoms, this may be caused by a software error in the rear Signal
Acquisition and Actuation Module (SAM).

1. Electric sunshade for rear window stops or hesitates during operation.
2. Fault code 9132 (Component M24 is blocked or has reversed polarity or has short circuit or open circuit) appears current or stored in the rear

SAM.

To remedy:

1. Using STAR Diagnosis, navigate to the following menu: Control Units -> Body -> REAR SAM -> Control Unit Adaptations -> Control Module

Programming

2. Flash the control unit with the latest software according to the instruction prompts on the STAR Diagnosis screen.

NOTE:  

Flash software is available as of STAR Diagnosis version 10/06.
