Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Description and Operation
EVAP Charcoal Canister (52)
PURPOSE
The canister contains active carbon which absorbs gasoline vapors. The canister can retain about 90 grams of fuel.
NOTE:
The use of alcohol-gasoline fuels reduces the effectiveness of the charcoal in the canister.
