Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

OVERVIEW

REMOVING AND INSTALLATION

INSTALLING REAR CRANKSHAFT RADIAL SEAL

Screw inner part (6) of 91117 589004300 to crankshaft.

Coat radial seal with engine oil between dust lip and sealing lip.
Do not use grease 1 Grease prevents the sealing lip of the radial seal transporting back the engine oil. The contact surface for the rear radial seal on
the crankshaft is hardened and twist-free

Push radial seal onto inner part (6) of M 117 569 00 43 00.
