Outside Temperature Display Sensor: Service and Repair

Preliminary work:

Engine compartment paneling removed on gasoline engines.
Front noise encapsulation removed on diesel engines. 

Outside temperature indicator sensor (B14)

pull out of installation hole, press in.

Temperature sensor (B14)

disconnect from wiring harness (1), reconnect.

NOTE:  As of approx. 09/96 the wiring harness from the temperature sensor to the instrument cluster is installed without connector. In the event
of a defect in the wiring harness tie it back and insulate (do not remove).
