Shift Interlock Cable: Adjustments

ADJUSTING AND CHECKING PARKING LOCK

40B Brake pedal cable
40L Steering lock cable
44B Brake pedal locking lever
44L Steering locking lever

48 Cam

The arrangement of cables and locking levers has been modified.

The locking lever for the brake pedal has been moved towards the front of the vehicle and the locking lever for the steering locking has been moved
towards the rear.

The cables are each fastened individually with pipe clamps.

Installation Note

Install shift lock cables free from tension and without kinks.

Adjusting Cable After Replacement

Move selector lever to position "P" and turn ignition key to position "0".

Release pipe clamp for steering lock cable (40L) and pun steering lock cable in direction of arrow until locking lever for Steering lock (44L) contacts
