Retaining springs on radio

NOTE:  The two retaining springs on the side of the radio engage in the cut-out on the center console.

Removing/Installing

Pre-Installation for retrofitting radio

The wiring for the speakers in the front left and right doors as well as the wiring for the radio connection (power supply for single module set) and for the
automatic antenna is installed as a standard feature. The speaker wiring for the front and rear speakers, the adapter wiring harness for the speaker
connection at the radio and the RF antenna cable are not included.

NOTE:  The fixed code has been eliminated for the Japanese version.

Power is supplied from the ignition/starter switch terminal 15C. Power is present at terminal 15C when the key is in position 1, 2 or 3. if the key is turned
back to position 0, the radio remains switched on. The power to terminal 15C is disconnected only when the key is removed thereby switching off the
radio.

The radios Becker Mexico 2000 and Becker Grand Prix 2000 USA continue to operate for approx. 3 seconds. These radios and the MB radio can also
be switched on and off with tile key removed by pressing the ON/OFF button.

The radio switches off automatically after one hour. It can then be switched on again. Power is supplied via terminal 30.
