Remove/Install Air Collector Unit and Water Collector

Removing and Installing Air Collector Unit and Water Collector

Lip-type seal (arrow) 

Pull out.

Vacuum lines on main element air flap (44) 

Pull off.

Slacken 6 screws (3)

Lift air collector unit (2), turn thermal valve for surface heating of wiper system (7) to the left, unclip and pull out temperature sensor (B10/5). (On
vehicles with automatic climate control)

Air intake 

Cover using special tool (140 589 00 98 00).

Wiper system

Remove. See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Service and Repair

Rubber mount

Remove, special tool 140 589 00 07 00.

Water collector (4)

Remove (4 screws).
