Heater Core Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation
Rear Heater Core Temperature Sensor (Models with Rear A/C)

The heater core temperature sensor measures the temperature of the heated air downstream of the heater core separately for the left and right sides.

The heater core temperature sensor is a temperature-dependent resistor. The resistance measured is transferred to the rear air conditioning pushbutton
control module. Here, the reading (actual value) is compared with the temperature set on the rear air conditioning pushbutton control module. Each
temperature setting is associated with a resistance (nominal value). The opening time for the duovalve is determined by the rear air conditioning
pushbutton control module by comparing the actual value and setting.
