Note:

On each installation, please make sure to review operation and the correct use of a battery trickle charger with the vehicle owner.

The wiring harness for the charging socket contains a diode to protect against reverse polarity and excessive current.

Note:

The battery trickle charger must be used only in conjunction with supplied charging socket. Please remove and discard the red plastic adapter cap
from the charger accessory bag.

Installation Instructions

Model 129 

1.

Remove right side trunk covering. Locate and mark position as shown and carefully drill an 18 mm diameter hole (a) in the right side covering of
the trunk compartment. A 1/4 pilot hole should be drilled first, and light drill pressure should be used, to avoid cracking the plastic trunk covering.

2.

Install the charging socket with wiring harness (4) and secure from behind the side covering with the nut for charging socket (5). Do not over
tighten the nut.

3.

Partially remove the forward trunk liner to gain access to the rear fuse box (F20). Connect the wiring harness from the charging socket as follows:

Vehicles up to 08/95 production (old fuse box): RD/GN wire to the fused side of F20/5 in trunk fuse box. Route the wiring along the existing
wiring harnesses.

Vehicles as of 09/95 production (new fuse box): RD/GN wire to the fused side of F20/7 in trunk fuse box. Adapt wire end using contact (006
545 3626), and install a 7.5 Amp fuse in position 7. Route the wiring along the existing wiring harnesses. Mark fuse card position 7 to read
