1.

Remove right side trunk covering. Locate and mark position as shown and drill an 18 mm diameter hole (a) in the trunk covering.

2.

Install the charging socket with wiring harness (4) and secure from behind the side covering with the backing washer (6) and nut for charging
socket (5). Do not over tighten the nut. Position the charging socket so that the dust flap hinge is up.

3.

Connect the wiring harness from the charging socket as follows:

RD/GN wire to the rear fuse box, screw connection E (old fuse box, up to 11/94) or directly to screw terminal on battery positive (+) terminal
(new fuse box, as of 12/94).

BR wire to W7/1, ground, right rear wheel well.

4.

Be sure to provide the battery trickle charger (7) and extension harness (8) to the customer.
