AR82.70-P-8951I Remove/Install CTEL/GPS Antenna on Rear Window

Detach CTEL and GPS roof antenna (A2/49) from rear window with preheated spatula

CAUTION:  Do not damage rear window

Remove roof antenna and remove adhesive pad from bottom of antenna

NOTE:  Installation:  Remove glue residues from antenna and glue new pad to bottom side of antenna. When gluing on antenna ensure that
antenna is installed directly on the rear window after removing protective foil from adhesive pad. After installing a load of 20 kg should be applied
to the antenna for approx. 5 seconds

Remove glue residues from rear window with cleaning agent

NOTE:  Installation:  Treat gluing surface on rear window with glass primer

Remove paneling in trunk

NOTE:  right side paneling

Disconnect connectors (1)

Remove leads (2) to wire passage (4) together with rubber grommet (3)

NOTE:
-

Observe routing of leads in trunk

Installation: Apply solution of soap and water to rubber grommet

Remove molding frame (5a, 5b) on rear window

NOTE:  Molding frame on right and bottom

Remove leads from molding frame

NOTE:  Installation:  Insert leads into rubber molding channel with suitable tool

Install in opposite order.
