B. Procedure for Corrosion in Area A and B

1. Remove corrosion from rear fender (1) in areas A and B (Figure 1).

2. Remove bulkhead from rear fender.

3. Detach trim on entrance longitudinal member.

4. Remove rear bumper

5. Remove rear lamp unit.

6. Remove trim frame from rear-end window.

7. Apply primer filler. Use approved warranty materials from our paint partners: See document SI98.00-P-0010a.

8. Apply spray seam sealant or underfloor protection paint to wheel arch in area (A Figure 1). See "Parts" for seam sealant spray and underfloor
protection paint. There must be no residues of cleaning agent left on the relevant areas otherwise material adhesion cannot be guaranteed. Observe the
manufacturer's specifications regarding setting time and application life of the sealant.

9. Paint rear fender (1) (Figure 1)

10. Apply cavity preservation. For preservation agents see EPC-net.

11. Reinstall all removed assembly parts.

C. Procedure for Corrosion or Rust-Through Damage in area A and B: See document SM63.50-P-1000B

1. The cases of corrosion or rust-through damage in area A and B, fabricate a repair panel in accordance with the damage profile and install it as a
subsection.

2. The repair area must be smaller than the cross-hatched area in (Figure 2)

1. If the repair scope is the same size as or larger than the cross-hatched area In (Figure 2), install the complete repair panel.
