Function Testing and Final Assembly

1.

Reconnect the power supply connector (A, Figure 2) to the lamp in the trunk lid paneling.

2.

Reinstall the trunk lid paneling (C, Figure 1) by reinserting the retaining clips to secure it.

3.

Reconnect the trunk lid remote control button (B, Figure 1), if so equipped.

4.

Reinstall the cover (A, Figure 1) on the bottom of the trunk lid by reinstalling the three 4.2 mm sheet metal screws (Arrows, Figure 1).

5.

Check the DTC memory of all installed components including components in the trunk. Identify and investigate any present DTCs. Correct the
source of the DTCs. Clear the DTC memory.

6.

Confirm no new DTCs are present in components in the trunk.

7.

Verify proper trunk operation per the following checklist:

With the trunk lid lock tumbler in the locked position (A, Figure 17), verify the trunk will not open when:

^

actuating the switch on the driver's side door panel

^

pressing the trunk lid button on the license plate recess

^

pressing the trunk button on the SmartKey
