"ESP - Service Required" Displayed in Instrument Cluster

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the message "ESP - Service Required" displayed within the instrument cluster and the
below fault codes are stored in the ESP control unit, perform the following to resolve.

C1112-001 - One or more speed sensors have implausible values. Loose contact

^

C1102-018 - L6/3 Left rear speed sensor, open circuit in wiring

^

C1102-021 - L6/3 Left rear speed sensor, loose contact

^

C1102-022 - L6/3 Left rear speed sensor, implausible wheelspeed

^

C1103-018 - L6/4 Right rear speed sensor, open circuit in wiring

^

C1103-021 - L6/4 Right rear speed sensor, loose contact

C1103-022 - L6/4 Right rear speed sensor, implausible wheelspeed

1. Inspect the air gap between the rear wheel speed sensors and rotors. Correct to specified dimension (0.5 mm) if necessary. Refer to WIS document
AR42.40-P-0820I.

2. Check electrical contact of wheel speed sensor connector to vehicle side ESP wiring harness for corrosion and correct seating. Repair connector(s) if
necessary.

3. Check wheel speed senor rotor for correct positioning, dirt and damage. Repair as necessary.
