Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing The Injection System Control Module

Removing/installing

DANGER:

-

Risk of injury to fingers being jammed or squeezed when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding
roof.

-

When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Carry out control module adaptations using STAR DIAGNOSIS
-

Only when replacing the control module ME (N3/10).

Unlock cover (1) of the right fuse box (F1/1) and take it off
-

Inspect rubber seal in cover (1), replace if necessary.

Disconnect plug connections (2) at ME control module (N3/10)

Lift ME control module (N3/10) up and out

Install in the reverse order

Read out DTC memory
