Check vehicle level at the rear axle via the rear axle shaft inclination.

Clean measurement points on rear halfshaft.
CAUTION: The wire (086b) to the sensor (086a) must be toward the center of the vehicle to prevent spurious test data from being
generated.

Position the test sensor (086a) on the rear halfshaft and store each of the recorded test results.

Measurement point 3 (left rear)

Measurement point 4 (right rear)
NOTE:

Observe maximum permissible difference in vehicle level between left and right sides of the vehicle

The specified test tolerance applies only when checking the vehicle level and not for calibration.

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to calibrate vehicle ride height
NOTE:

Only if the vehicle level is outside the test tolerance.

Do not set vehicle height at the ride-height sensor's control rod.

Possible causes and remedies when the vehicle level is not OK after calibration:

Attachment of level sensor is misshapen.
-
Length of linkage rod to torsion bar (Model Series 220 with AIRmatic), spring or control arm is incorrect.

Loose or bent attachment point for linkage rod on torsion bar (Model Series 220 with AIRmatic), for spring or for control arm.

Check and correct headlamp adjustment
NOTE: Only if the vehicle level was adjusted.
