Preparing test

Remove actuator

Slide sliding sleeve (a) over switching rod retainer (b), by pressing sliding sleeve lock (arrow). (Only on the left and right door actuators S47,
S48).

Connect test equipment for vacuum and pressure systems to the pneumatic connection of the actuator.

Test

 
NOTE:  If no leaks are established on the actuator (apart from actuators S47 or S48), check the pneumatic line for leaks.  
On vehicles up to 12/93 if no leaks are established on the actuators S47 or S48, check switchover valve - venting of central locking of the driver's door 
Y65/1, and front passenger door Y65/2 .
