Installation
1. Plug in squib connector [R12/9 or R12/10]; connector must be heard to engage.
2. Fit side airbag unit [2] to door and attach with special rivets: Part no. 003 990 0097.
3. Install door trim panel.
If airbag unit was activated, replace center section of door trim panel before installing.
4. Switch ignition ON.
SRS Malfunction Indicator Lamp in instrument cluster must go out within 20 seconds.
5. Perform diagnostics. See Testing and Inspection/System Diagnosis.
