To facilitate removal of the snap ring (133a), compress the multiple-disc pack B3 (133)

Check multiple-discs for scorch marks and wear
3. Unscrew Torx socket bolts (11)
4. Remove multiple-disc brake B2 (14) from transmission housing

The outer multiple-disc carrier for multiple-disc brake/B2 also serves as the piston for the multi-disc brake/B3
5. Remove parking lock gear (15)
ASSEMBLY
1. Insert parking lock gear (15)
2. Install multiple-disc brake B2 (14) in transmission housing (2)
3. Screw in Torx socket bolts (11) and tighten to: 16 Nm
4. Insert and measure disc spring (133b) and multiple-disc pack B3 (133) as follows:
a. Refer to Survey of multiply-disc components to locate correct number of discs for this application. See: Application and ID
b. Observe outer multiple-disc sequence of installation, then procedures as follows:
c. Place discs for multiple-disc brake B3 together in the sequence shown in the illustration above

Place discs individually
d. Using a feeler gauge, determine the play "L" at three points between the snap ring (133a) and the outer disc (133c)

During the measurement the snap ring (133a) must contact the upper bearing surface of the groove in the disc carrier
Adjustment Values Multiple Disc Brake B3
Clearance Dimension "L": 1.00-1.40 mm
e. Using the table above determine the correct clearance based on the number of discs installed.
f.
Adjust clearance "L" using a snap ring of the correct thickness

Snap rings are available in thicknesses of 3.20, 3.50, 3.80, 4.10, 4.40 and 4.70 mm
5. Install Transmission housing to converter housing, tighten bolts to: 20 Nm
