The satellite signals received by the GPS antenna (A2/23)  are amplified by the integrated antenna amplifier.

The output signal is relayed to the antenna splitter (A2/5) via a coaxial antenna cable.

The satellite signals lie in the microwave range. Even slight damage to the antenna cable (e.g. kinks) can lead to reduced reception.Satellite signals can
only be received outdoors.
