Disconnect ground cables from both batteries

NOTE:  First the on-board electrical system battery in the trunk and then the starter battery in the engine compartment.

Remove glove compartment (1)

Unclip strip (3)

Remove edge guard (4) in area of cover (2)

Detach cover (2) from A-pillar

Unscrew nuts (5)

Disconnect electrical connector (6) and remove system diagnosis control module (N55)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory
