GF83.10-P-2132-02R Footwell Flap Actuator Motor, Function

- with CODE (581) Automatic air conditioning

Function

By turning the air distribution duct switch in the AAC pushbutton control module (N22) the footwell flap actuator motors above the air-conditioner's
databus are separately controlled for the driver and front-passenger sides. The left and right footwell flap actuator motors (M16/15) and (M16/16) thus
control the footwell flaps, which then adopt the following positions at different requests

Switching logic

footwell closed = 0 %

-

footwell fully open = 100 %

Automatic footwell flap control (AUTO buttons retracted)
The footwell flaps are opened in line with the following sizes linear up to 100 %.

Coolant temperature

Evaporator temperature

In-car temperature

NOTE:

All actuators are identical.

The assignment to the flap to be actuated and job description of actuator takes place via a wiring harness coupling.

If a problem exists, it is possible to retrieve and verify the defined end positions by means of the diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS (valuation trip).
An adjustment run must be performed after replacing a positioning motor, in other words the end positions flap OPEN and SHUT are defined and
retained.
