Remove instrument panel

DANGER:
-

Risk of injury when carrying out test or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units

-

Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 degrees C. Interrupt power supply
when working on such units.

Disconnect electrical connectors from passenger airbag and remove passenger airbag

Disconnect electrical connector (1) from fresh and recirculated air flap actuator motor (M16/21)

Remove fresh and recirculated air flap actuator motor (M16/21)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory.

7

Normalize actuator motor.
