Component Identification

Location

The AMG DRIVE UNIT control is located on the right in the spare tire well.

Task

The AMG DRIVE UNIT control has the following purposes:

The AMG DRIVE UNIT control reads in the following information via the interior CAN:

Status of c. 15 by EIS control unit (N73)

Vehicle speed from instrument cluster (A1)

Status of lock pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4) by rear SAM control unit (N10/8)

Central gateway control unit (N93) transmission mode status

Evaluation of input factors

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
