REAR SOFT TOP COVER SIDE WINDOWS

As of October 1995, a new rear soft top cover with a modified side window shape (B, Figure 1) is being installed.

Note: 

The part number for the rear soft top cover with the modified side windows remains unchanged.

At the same time, the location of the soft top supports (1a, Figure 2) inside the soft top storage compartment has been changed.

The part number for the rear soft top supports has changed. Please see Parts Information.

Reason for Modification
Due to the above-mentioned modifications, crease marks in the side windows due to incorrect folding of the soft top and chafing contact of the side
windows with the soft top canvas fabric are prevented. Additionally, due to the relocation and re-sizing of the soft top supports, the crease mark caused
by the spoiler contacting the lower section of the rear window is prevented.

Repair Notes:
Review of Service Information 77126A, October 1994, MODEL 129, A. SOFT TOP COVER WEAR is helpful prior to starting the repair procedure.

Prior to replacing the rear soft top canvas, the version and location of the soft top supports within the soft top storage compartment must be checked (see
Repair Procedure).

If necessary, the modified soft top supports are to be installed (see Parts Information and Repair Procedure).
