Oil Cooler: Service and Repair

PRECEDING WORK:
Bottom engine compartment panel removed.
Front bumper removed.

OVERVIEW

Air scoop (4) at front:

Take off, fit on.

Oil lines (11) and (9) of air-to-oil cooler (2):

Unbolt, bolt on (30 Nm); brace with wrench (WAF 22) at hexagon head (14).

Clips (5) out of left and right mounting brackets (8):

Take off, fit on

Air-to-oil cooler (2) with rubber bushes (6):

Detach from mounting brackets (8), remove, install.

Leaks:

Check when engine warm.

Note

The oil circulates in the air-to-oil cooler (2) once the thermostat valve in the oil filter housing opens.
Oil level:

Check, adjust to correct level.
