Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE AND LOCATION

The intake air temperature sensors (B17/5 and B17/6) which are located in the induction system measures incoming ambient air temperature. The
information is used to calculate necessary adjustments to the air/fuel ratio and ignition timing. Low ambient air temperatures will tend to enrichen
air/fuel mixtures and high ambient temperatures will tend to retard ignition timing. 

SIGNAL

This signal is used by the LH control modules and transmitted via the controller area network (CAN) to the EZL/AKR control modules.
