Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Actuator: Service and Repair
Remove/Install Trunk Lid Actuator

Cover (1) of right tail lamp 

Fold open.

Clips (2)     

Pull out.

Cover (3)     

Remove.

Retaining catches (4)     

Push open.

Actuator (S49)

Disconnect.

Strain relief (5)     

Push away.

Electrical cable 

Disconnect.

Pneumatic line (6) 

Lever off with open-end wrench (width between flats 7).

Actuator 

Install in reverse order by inserting actuator carrier (7) into lock carrier (8).
