Removal & Installation of Hydraulic Cylinder For Soft Top Bow

Preliminary work:

Coupe roof removed (See Owner's Manual)
Parcel shelf removed. See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair
Occasional seats removed. See: Seats/Service and Repair/Procedures
Rear side wall removed

Soft top ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................ open
Screws .......................................................................................................................................................................................... screw out (fig. 1, item 1)
Gasket on B-pillar ................................................................................................................................................ loosen and remove cover (fig. 1, item 2)
Screw ....................................................................................................... screw out through opening in B-pillar with 5 mm Allen wrench (fig. 2, item 3)

NOTE:  Install screw with screw securing agent, part no. 002 989 94 71.

Plug connection .................................................................................................. disconnect (fig. 3, S84/6x, only when removing left hydraulic cylinder)
Soft top position ............................................................................................................................................................................... adjust by hand (fig. 4)
