Heater Control Valve: Description and Operation
Monovalve
The monovalve regulates the quantity of coolant flowing through the heater core.
The monovalve is controlled by pauses directly from the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module and itself controls the coolant flow
through the heater core. The opening and closing time per monovalve pause cycle depends on the deviation of the actual temperature from the set
temperature.
Regulation principle
The electromagnetic coil for the monovalve is actuated by the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module. In this manner, the quantity of
water flowing through the heater core is regulated. The basic position of the monovalve is open (not actuated).
