Brake Fluid: Service Precautions

Danger

Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury to skin and eyes from contact, with brake fluid,
Pour and store brake fluid only in suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothes and eye protection, when handling brake
fluid.

Possible Dangers

Risk Of Poisoning
If brake fluid is swallowed, the person affected is likely to show signs of poisoning such as headaches, giddiness, stomach aches, nausea,
diarrhoea, convulsions and unconsciousness.

A dose of more than 100 cc I may have fatal consequences.

Risk Of Injury
Skin damage may be caused if unprotected skin comes into contact with brake fluid.

Protective Measures/Rules Of Conduct
Ensure access only for authorized persons.

Store brake fluid only in original containers.

Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers, on no account into bottles for drinks, such as mineral water, beer etc.

Wear eye protection or protective clothing, such as rubber glove%.

If rubber gloves cannot be worn, then pay attention to the following points:

Do not allow brake fluid to remain on your skin for any longer than possible, clean moistened skin with water and soap.

Change moistened clothing as quickly as possible.

If brake fluid. get's into your eyes, rinse out immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor if necessary.
