Seat Belt: Service and Repair
Front Seat Belt with Tensioner (ETR), Removal and Installation

Pay attention to safety precautions for Airbag, Side Airbag and Emergency Tensioning Retractors, and to the Seat Belt Replacement Regulations.

Preliminary work (To be done prior to beginning removal procedure below.):
-

Front Seat removed.

-

Side covering on backrest frame removed.

-

Covering on rear of front seat backrest removed.

-

Side covering on outside of seat cushion frame removed.

-

Covering on upper belt guide fitting removed.

Installation Notes  

First feed control cable through at top of backrest frame when installing the automatic belt retractor. It is essential to ensure that the control cable is
positioned correctly when installing. Do not damage or kink control cable.
