Valve Body: Overhaul

Electronic Control Body and Solenoids

REMOVAL

1. Remove caps (15) for solenoid valves
2. Unscrew Torx socket bolts (17a and 17b) and remove leaf springs (17).

Pay attention to the different lengths of the Torx socket bolts

3. Using pliers tool No. 606 589 00 37 00, or equivalent, withdraw all solenoid valves (Y3/6y1 to Y3/6y6) from the shift plate (16).
4. Remove electronic control module (Y3/6) from the shift plate

If required, to remove the electronic control module, bend away retaining lug on stiffening rib on oil temperature sensor

INSTALLATION

-

Assemble in reverse order, noting the following information:
-

Pay attention to the different lengths of the Torx socket bolts.

-

Check O-rings on the solenoid valve, replace if necessary

-

Ensure the two centering pins of the electronic control module engage in the shift plate.

-

Tighten Torx retaining bolts to: 8 Nm
