7. On models with Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) use puller tool No. 001 589 50 33 00 and collet chuck tool No. 140 589 00 34 00, or

equivalents, to pull out deep-groove ball bearing

8. On all models using a suitable tool, pry out seal (32a)

INSTALLATION

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following information:

Replace rear axle breather, tighten to: 30 Nm

Coat sealing lips of seal with a suitable hypoid gear oil, then insert guide sleeve (032b) of driver tool set No. 140 589 03 15 00, or equivalent
into side bearing cap (27b), then seat seal (32a) in housing using alignment tool (032c) of set
