apply grease to the faces of the rollers

4. Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip of radial sealing ring (9a) with high temperature roller bearing grease

-

Install radial sealing ring with puller (05d) tool No. 201 589 0143 00, or equivalent

5. Fill front wheel hub with remaining grease
6. Thorough pack outer tapered roller bearing with roller bearing grease and install in wheel hub
7. Install front wheel hub assembly with bearings

Wheel Carrier (Hub Assembly) With Bearings

PREPARATION

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels

REMOVAL

1. Remove brake disk of front axle, refer to Brakes and Traction Control

2. Pull hub cap (9e) off wheel hub using puller (023) tool No. 116 589 22 33 90, or equivalent

3. If equipped, remove contact spring (arrow) for radio interference suppression
