In doing so both the control data and the actual audio signals (music from the CD changer, voice when telephoning) are transferred.

Passenger compartment CAN bus

The passenger compartment CAN bus is used for Data exchange with the instrument cluster A1), from COMAND the instrument cluster (A1)
receives the audio, telephone and navigation data for the left multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1) and the time via this bus.

CAN-MCNet (CAN microcontroller network)

-

The CAN-MCNet which is independent of the passenger compartment CAN bus serves for data exchange between the COMAND operating,
display and control module (A40/3) and the optional TV tuner (A2/42) component.
