Subwoofer speaker (H4/29)

The audio signal for the subwoofer speaker is routed by the sound system amplifier over discrete lines to the subwoofer amplifier (N40/9) and from
there, over discrete lines to the subwoofer speaker.

Normally, the voice connection is deactivated by the service center or by the customer.

The hands-free system microphone comprises 2 microphones. However, only one microphone is used for voice input.

The establishment of a voice connection to the service center is interrupted by the communication module integrated into the emergency call system
control unit after several unsuccessful dialing attempts.

In the event of a malfunction of the telephone antenna (e.g. defective due to rollover), the communication module integrated into the emergency call
system control unit automatically sends and receives the mobile phone signals and data via the TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50).

General

The two red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) integrated into the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) serve to indicate the following actions:

Emergency call system self-test

Emergency call system ready state

Automatic or manual emergency call active

Malfunctions in the emergency call system are also indicated on the instrument cluster (A1), depending on the type of malfunction.
