Component Identification
The components that are mainly involved in the cassette mode are marked.
A 3.5 mm standard jack plug "AUX jack" is installed in the glove box. A commercially available Walkman (portable cassette recorder) can be connected
via this "AUX jack". The audio signals are preamplified by the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) and the desired tone settings
(volume, bass, treble and fader) are performed.
The sound amplifier (A2/13) (only with code 810) performs the final amplification of the signals before these are output via the vehicle speakers (see
picture).
