Component Identification

Function prerequisites:

^

RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5) in valid temperature range

^

All solenoid valves ready for operation (self test by RVC control module (N52) )

^

All motion sequences performed within specified time window (stored in RVC control module (N52) for each sequence).

Function interruption:

If a malfunction (ground short, wiring discontinuity or short circuit to circuit 30) is recognized on one or more solenoid valves, the active Vario roof
sequence is terminated immediately and the Stop function initiated.

If a solenoid valve responsible for the Stop function is defective, the Stop function is not initiated.
If a Vario roof request is received again when a current malfunction has been recognized, an attempt is made to verify the malfunction by switching the
defective solenoid valve on and off three times. If the malfunction remains current, the Vario roof request is refused and a warning output on the
instrument cluster(A1). If the defective inputs are reported as error-free, the Vario roof sequence is performed.
