Removing and Installing Radiator

DANGER:

-

Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

-

Risk of injury to skin and eyes from scalding from escaping hot coolant. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

-

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C.

-

Open cap slowly and release the pressure.

-

Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

-

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Remove engine compartment paneling

NOTE:  Only front part.

Remove paneling on left below bumper

Unscrew screws (1)

Drain coolant at radiator, for this step open drain plug (10)

Remove fan shroud (2).

Remove right air intake tube to air cleaner

Detach coolant line (3) at radiator

Detach ATF lines (4, 5) at radiator

NOTE:  Seal off oil lines.

Disconnect coolant line (6) at radiator

Pull off hood seal

Remove plastic cover (7)

Dismount radiator bridge (8)

Disconnect coolant line to expansion reservoir at radiator

Dismount bracket of refrigerant line at radiator

Dismount capacitor from radiator (9)

Take out radiator (9)
