AR83.30-P-6520R Remove/Install Receiver Drier

-except CODE (P99) "AMG Black Series" special model

DANGER: 

-

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning from inhaling overheated 
refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not carry out any welding work on the closed air conditioning system or in the surrounding area. No smoking or open flames. Wear
eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit
only after the system has been discharged.

CAUTION:  Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work.

1.1 Switch off ignition, remove key from the electronic ignition/starter switch EIS
1.2 Switch off engine, remove Keyless Go card from the vehicle

NOTE:  If CODE (889) Keyless Go Keep Keyless Go card outside of the transmitting range.

Discharge air conditioning system

NOTE:
1. Recycle refrigerant and note quantity of extracted compressor oil.
2. Installation:  Evacuate and fill air conditioning system and add new compressor oil to refrigerant circuit, using noted quantity of compressor

oil. Check air conditioning system refrigerant circuit for leaks.

Filling quantity of R134 a refrigerant:  920 g

Filling quantity of compressor oil in liquid reservoir:  10 cu.cm

-

Additional compressor oil filling quantities:
When replacing evaporator:  40 cu.cm
When replacing condenser:  40 cu.cm
When replacing refrigerant compressor:  10 cu.cm

Disconnect electrical connector from refrigerant pressure sensor (B12/2)

Detach lines (2) from fluid reservoir (1)

Seal apertures with plugs.
See "Special Tools" given below.

NOTE:  Installation:  Replace O-ring and coat with compressor oil.
