AR54.25-P-3250R Remove/Install Exterior Lamp Switch

DANGER:

Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with
caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into
suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect ground cables from both batteries

NOTE:  First the on-board electrical system battery in the trunk and then the starter battery in the engine compartment.

Unscrew bolts (1)

Pull exterior lamp switch (S1) with handbrake release (4) out of lower section of instrument panel

Detach Bowden cable (2) from handbrake release (4)

Disconnect electrical connector (3) from exterior lamp switch (S1) and remove exterior lamp switch (S1)

Install in the reverse order
