Parking Lamp Actuation, Function

Operational sequence

Exterior light switch (S1) is in left or right parklamp position and signals the left SAM control module (N10/10) "Left parking lamp ON" or 
"Right parking lamp ON".

2.1 Left parking lamp ON:

The left SAM control modules actuates the parking lamp in the left headlamp unit and simultaneously transmits the signal "Left parking lamp
ON" to the rear SAM control module (N10/8).

2.2 Right parking light ON:

-

The left SAM control modules transmits the signals "Right parking lamp ON" to the
-

right SAM control module (N10/11) and

-

rear SAM control module (N10/8) via the passenger compartment CAN bus.

The right SAM control module (N10/11) actuates the parking lamp in the right headlamp unit.

The rear SAM control module (N10/8) actuates the parking lamps in the left and right taillamps depending on the parking lamp position.
