Component Identification

Recognition of deployment

If all three ignition stages have ignited, this is indicated by a red pin (arrow) projecting from the housing of the emergency tensioning retractor unit (1).

If in the event of an accident the three ignition stages are not all actuated, then the unit must be disposed of accordingly. In Germany disposal is possible
through the Mercedes-Benz Recycling System "MeRSy". In all other countries, please observe applicable regulations. Emergency tensioning retractor
units in which the red pin projects can be disposed of in the normal way.
