Fuel Level Sensor: Service and Repair
AR47.10-P-7000R Remove/Install Fuel Level Sensor

Remove/install fuel level sensor

DANGER:
Risk of explosion if ignition takes place, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to skin and
eyes exposed to fuel.

Fire, sparks, open flames or smoking forbidden.

-

Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

If fuel tank is full, drain about 20 liters of fuel

Remove cover for spare wheel

Remove separation screen

Remove side panelings in trunk

Remove middle paneling in trunk

Remove expanding clip (1, 5 in total) and take off plastic cross strut (2)

Unplug connector (3) at fuel level sensor (3)

Open bayonet lock at fuel gage sensor (B4)

See "Special Tools" given below.

Take out fuel gage sensor (B4)

CAUTION:  Installation:  Replace gasket. Do not jam insulating mat in sealing surface otherwise leakage can occur.

NOTE:  Fuel gage sensor (B4) must not be bent. A bent fuel gage sensor (B4) must be replaced

Do not damage float at fuel level sensor (B4)

Install in the reverse order.
