Because handling is altered by the different tire tread circumferences and wheel offsets, a maximum speed of no more than 80 km/h is permissible.

Shorten the securing nut (used to secure the wheel house insert in the front wheel houses (see arrow)) that is pointing towards the tire together with
the bolt.

The height of the shorted hexagon is approx. 4 mm.

Screw dowel bolt (vehicle tool kit) into the topmost threaded bore in the wheel hub.

Fit AMG light alloy wheel and press onto wheel hub.

Screw in wheel bolts and tighten firmly. The wheel bolts must be dry and free of grease.

Make sure that the wheels are not distorted by tightening the wheel bolts too much on one side ( tighten wheel bolts in a cross pattern in several
passes).

Unscrew dowel bolt and replace with a wheel bolt.

Lower the vehicle.

Tighten wheel bolts evenly in a cross pattern to a torque of 130 Nm.

AMG light alloy wheels must be retightened after a distance of between 100 and 500 km.

In the marked area (A) 280 the fender edge is reflanged completely in several stages up to the inside of the fender.

The flange which is not repositioned in the area (B) in front of the center of the wheel is to be repositioned slightly until approx. 170 mm above the
sill.
