Retaining plate (B-Figure 18) for upper side rear window seal to rear window frame leaky (screw holes).

Procedure: 

Plug screw holes.

1.

Perform rain test.

2.

Move Vario roof to intermediate position and secure (See WIS-document AR77.50-P-3000-01R).

Use Special Tool "Support".

3.

Remove retaining plate (B-Figure 18).

4.

Plug screw holes. Use MB universal sealant.

5.

Reinstall in opposite order.

6.

Perform leakage test.

Cause 3: 

Routing of electric cables incorrect at pivot point, wedge (A-Figure 20, magnified section) of upper rear window sealing does not hit in funnel
(B-Figure 20, magnified section) C-pillar sealing, funnel (B-Figure 20, magnified section) deformed.

Procedure: 

Check cable routing, apply lubricant to bottom of wedge (A-Figure 20, magnified section), glue on funnel (B-Figure 20, magnified section).
