suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect ground cables from batteries
NOTE: First the on-board electrical system battery in the trunk and then the starter battery in the engine compartment.

Remove water collector

Remove ME-SFI control module (N3/10)
NOTE: Unplug electrical connections from left to right.

Remove ESP, SPS and BAS control module (N47-5) in driver-side fuse box (F1)
NOTE: Unlock ESP, SPS and BAS control module (N47-5), pull up and unplug electrical connections.

Remove left front SAM control module (N10/10) with fuse and relay module (K40/2)

Remove electrical connector (1) in driver-side fuse box (F1) from the guide and disconnect

Remove control module bracket (2)
NOTE: Unscrew bolt (3) and remove control module bracket.

Remove electrical connector (4) in driver-side fuse box (F1) from the guide (5) and disconnect

Unlock cover (6) on driver-side fuse box (F1) and pull out upwards

Expose wiring harnesses
NOTE: Observe and label installed position.

Remove paneling (7) in interior on left side

Unscrew bolt and remove lower A-pillar paneling on left side

Remove cover below instrument panel (left)

Remove footrest
NOTE: Free the floor covering on the driver's side until the footrest is accessible.

Unplug electrical connection from ABC control module (N51/2)

Unscrew ground lead from electronics ground (left footwell) (W34/1)

Pass ground lead and electrical connection of ABC control module (N51/2) through the driver-side fuse box (F1)

Pass remaining wiring harnesses through driver-side fuse box (F1) into passenger compartment
NOTE: On vehicles with CODE (220a) Parktronic system (PTS), the cables must be exposed as far as the component and passed through the
driver-side fuse box into the interior.

Unscrew nuts (8) and remove driver-side fuse box (F1)

Install in the reverse order

Carry out function check
